At ARW, we believe architecture is not just about building — it’s about belonging.
“Between the built and the unbuilt.
Between people and place.
Between intention and impact.”
We work at the intersection of architecture, interiors, urban design, landscape, and planning crafting spaces that feel grounded yet graceful. Every design begins with listening to the land, the climate, the culture, and most of all, to the people who will inhabit it. Our approach is rooted in quiet confidence and conscious creativity blending ancient wisdom, elemental harmony, and contextual understanding. Whether it’s a home, a retreat, or a community corner, our designs carry depth, softness, and sincerity.
At ARW Urban Architects, we don’t just design structures we shape spatial stories. We are an architecture and urban planning studio that weaves purpose, presence, and poetry into every project. Each space is imagined with sustainability, sensitivity, and soul values that guide every line we draw and every material we choose. We bring together the science of planning, the soul of Vastu, and the rhythm of the five elements to create spaces that connect on every level physical, emotional, and spiritual. Our design philosophy is rooted in nature yet open to innovation, merging timeless sensibilities with modern aspirations. With intuitive flow, muted palettes, and contextual intelligence, we build spaces that feel like they’ve always belonged even when they’re brand new. We are place-driven. People-centred. Purpose-led. Our process begins with deep listening and unfolds into designs that are honest, elegant, and enduring. Our spaces don’t just stand they settle. They grow with time. They breathe with the seasons. They hold meaning in every line.
ARW Urban Architects was founded by Apeksha Wankhede — an architect, urban planner, and public health thinker whose journey is as layered as the spaces she designs.
Raised in central India, Apeksha grew up close to nature, surrounded by homes built from mud, lime, and love. Her fascination with the built environment began early — watching how spaces could breathe with the seasons, how people and place shaped each other. That quiet observation became her foundation.
Her academic and professional path has taken her across cities, communities, and cultures — learning from natural builders and artisans, teaching art, designing retreats, interacting with global customers at Apple, and leading participatory planning projects. Through it all, she continued to blend artistic passion with practical skill — where the fusion of curves and lines became her signature design style.
Living in the United Kingdom gave her new perspectives — where she studied urban planning and explored the deeper relationships between policy, people, and place. It helped her bring together the science of sustainability with the softness of human needs.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief: architecture isn’t about big gestures — it’s about small, thoughtful ones. ARW was born from that very intention.
Rooted in tradition. Informed by people. Shaped by purpose.
That’s the soul of ARW.
At ARW Urban Architects, we believe design reflects how we live, feel, and grow.
We exist to create spaces that are thoughtful, responsible, and rooted in their surroundings. Spaces that respond to nature, respect culture, and resonate with the people they serve.
Our purpose is to bring clarity, care, and consciousness to every project — balancing feeling, function, and future-readiness. In every design, we strive to shape more than buildings — we aim to shape better ways of living.
We blend time-honoured traditions with present-day purpose — integrating scientific insight, local intelligence, and intuitive design thinking.
